Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) continue their win streak as they defeat Delhi Capitals (DC) by 47 runs and make it five wins in their last five games after just a solitary victory in the first eight games of the campaign and keep their playoff hopes alive.

RCB now sit fifth on the points table with 12 points to their name with a virtual knockout to be played against CSK at home.

After being put in to bat first by DC, Virat Kohli started off with a bang, scoring 23(13). Rajat Patidar and Will Jacks stitched an 88(53) stand, a late flurry from Cameron Green helped them finish at 187/9.

While defending the score, Yash Dayal led them with 3/20 in his 3.1 overs and an important run-out of Jake Fraser-McGurk. All the bowlers stood up to the task as DC kept losing wickets.

Faf reviews RCB's performance

Reviewing the game, Faf du Plessis pointed out the improved confidence as the reason for such great performances,

"It's brilliant. We've put in some really good performances. Very pleased. It's just confidence, first half of the season, we were just fighting for it. We needed a couple of guys to find their form and it's happened.

On RCB's plan behind starting with a spinner every game and but not bringing him back tonight,

"Sometimes people talk about match-ups but then you just has a left-hander with the ball spinning in, you hope things work out. The ball was swinging. Swapnil's done well."

Du Plessis credited the pacers for how they have comeback after a poor start to the season.

"A lot of work has gone behind the scenes. We talk about our processes and what we want to achieve and get better at. We have a lot of variety in the bowling attack with so many options. You can just pull the best one as per the need."

"Siraj has been brilliant after he missed that one game, he came back with a point to prove. Yash has been brilliant throughout the tournament and Lockie is also clicking."

The RCB skipper ended by assuring the fans that the approach will continue to be bold and they will continue to push.
