One of the best left-handed openers in the world, Shikhar Dhawan has been a prolific run-scorer for each of the teams he represented over the last few seasons. He is the second-highest run-scorer in the league with over 6,600 runs under his belt and will be playing as the captain of the Punjab Kings in the upcoming season. 

The last few years have turned out to be rewarding for him in the IPL despite the fact that he lost his place in the Indian team. In the last four seasons, he hammered 2,038 runs in just 58 games and won the Player of the Match award 6 times, which places him last among the top six players with the most POTM awards.

The premium all-rounder of the Indian team, Ravindra Jadeja has been doing wonders with both bat and ball for the Chennai Super Kings. He even helped Chennai win their fifth IPL title by smashing a six and a four on the last couple of deliveries in the final match of the IPL 2023.

With over 2,500 runs and 150-plus wickets so far in his IPL career, he is nothing short of a match-winner. He attains the fifth spot in the list with 6 Player of the Match Awards in the last four seasons of the IPL. With 765 runs while batting in the lower order and 44 wickets in the last four editions, he has been an immaculate contributor to CSK.

The orange cap winner of the IPL 2022, Jos Buttler had one hell of a season and slammed over 850 runs in a single season. Undoubtedly, that was the peak of Buttler's hitting abilities. With his amazing consistency during that season, he took the Rajasthan Royals team to the final of the tournament but could not help his team claim their second title. 

In the last four seasons, Buttler has scored 1,837 runs in 51 games and managed to win the POTM award 6 times just like Dhawan and Jadeja, thus he is placed at the fourth position in this list of players with the most POTM awards in the last four seasons.

The opening batter, Shubman Gill has turned into an amazing find for Indian cricket. Starting his IPL career as a middle-order batter, Gill transformed into one of the best opening batters in the IPL. In the IPL 2023, he hammered 890 runs, including three centuries with an average of nearly 60.

Gill with his blistering performance took Gujarat Titans to the final of the IPL 2023 as well. Talking about the last four seasons, he scored 2,291 runs in 64 games and went on to with the Player of the Match award 8 times, which landed him ahead of Dhawan, Jadeja and Buttler on this list.
