India Women stamped their authority yet again, defeating Pakistan Women by 88 runs in Match 6 of the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 on Sunday. With this commanding win, the Women in Blue stretched their unbeaten ODI World Cup record against Pakistan (men or women) to an incredible 13 matches.

After posting a competitive 247 on the board, India’s bowlers turned the screws. Kranti Goud and Deepti Sharma bagged three wickets apiece while Sneh Rana chipped in with two as Pakistan were bundled out for 159. Goud’s 3/20 and Deepti’s 3/45 are now two of the finest spells ever in this fixture.

These performances also join the long list of bowling masterclasses India Women have produced against Pakistan over the years. Let’s take a look at the top 5 bowling figures for India Women vs Pakistan Women in the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup.

5. Deepti Sharma: 3/45 (Colombo, 2025)

At No. 5 is Deepti Sharma, who turned the screws in the middle overs in the 2025 World Cup clash. After Kranti Goud’s early strikes, Deepti ensured Pakistan never recovered, picking up 3 for 45 with her off-spin.

Her victims: Fatima Sana, Rameen Shamim and Sadia Iqbal never quite picked her flight or dip. She was a constant threat, keeping the run rate on a leash while creating pressure from both ends. It wasn’t her most economical spell, but it was timely as every wicket came when India needed to kill Pakistan’s momentum.

4. Niranjana Nagarajan: 3/35 (Cuttack, 2013)

The 2013 Women’s World Cup clash in Cuttack might be remembered for Mithali Raj’s classy century but Niranjana Nagarajan’s spell laid the foundation for India’s win. Pakistan were restricted to 192/7 and Niranjana’s disciplined 3/35 choked their middle order just when they looked to accelerate.

She dismissed Bismah Maroof, Asmavia Iqbal and skipper Sana Mir with smart variations and impeccable line-and-length bowling. Every wicket came from patience and planning as she set up batters over overs before landing the perfect delivery. Her spell ensured India didn’t have to chase anything over par and the Women in Blue cruised to a six-wicket win.

3. Kranti Goud: 3/20 (Colombo, 2025)

Kranti Goud’s spell against Pakistan once again showed that India’s bowling legacy remains alive and kicking. Coming in as a relatively new name in this fixture, Goud announced herself in grand fashion with a stunning spell of 3 for 20 that demolished Pakistan’s top order. Her double strike early on sent Sadaf Shamas and Aliya Riaz packing before she returned to remove Natalia Pervaiz and sealed Pakistan’s fate.

Every over she bowled had purpose with tight lines, consistent pace and that perfect hint of aggression. With Deepti Sharma and Sneh Rana supporting from the other end, India bowled Pakistan out for 159, winning by 88 runs and extending their World Cup streak over their arch-rivals.

2. Rumeli Dhar: 3/7 (Bowral, 2009)

The 2009 encounter in Bowral was as one-sided as they come, thanks to Rumeli Dhar’s early burst. Pakistan managed just 57 runs, their lowest total in the rivalry and Rumeli was right at the heart of the demolition. She bowled eight overs, five of which were maidens, conceding only seven runs and picking up three crucial wickets.

Her victims included Bismah Maroof, Sajjida Shah and Almas Akram, each undone by her ability to move the ball both ways. It was one of those days where every delivery looked like it had a wicket hiding in it. Her 3/7 was about exceptional discipline and unshakable accuracy.

1. Ekta Bisht: 5/18 (Derby, 2017)

The 2017 Derby clash remains the gold standard of domination. Ekta Bisht’s left-arm spin worked like a magic spell as it left Pakistan’s batting lineup in a complete mess. Defending a modest 169, Bisht got the ball to grip, turn and talk in ways that made life miserable for the Pakistan batters. She dismissed Ayesha Zafar, Sidra Nawaz, Iram Javed, Nashra Sandhu and Diana Baig.

Pakistan were bundled out for just 74 and Bisht’s figures of 5 for 18 remain the best-ever by an Indian woman against Pakistan in a World Cup. It was a statement. The way she toyed with lengths and kept the stumps in play was a masterclass in control.
