Travis Head has added yet another feather to his illustrious career by completing 1000 runs in the Indian Premier League (IPL). The landmark came during the IPL 2025 clash between Mumbai Indians and Sunrisers Hyderabad on Thursday, April 17, at the Wankhede Stadium.
Remarkably, the explosive left-hander reached the milestone in just 575 balls i.e. the second fastest in IPL history in terms of balls faced. Head’s aggressive batting at the top of the order have made him a crucial asset for the Sunrisers in the recent past.

3. Heinrich Klaasen - 594 Balls
Heinrich Klaasen, who is currently one the most destructive T20 batters in the world, is the third-fastest to reach 1000 IPL runs, achieving the feat in just 594 balls. The South African began his IPL journey with Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bengaluru, but it was after joining Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2023 that he started to perform to his full potential. Klaasen reached the milestone during the IPL 2025 season opener which was a high-scoring spectacle against Rajasthan Royals in Hyderabad.
