Tristan Stubbs has grown in stature in the last couple of years and has excelled in all formats. For South Africa, he is now a regular in all three formats while in the franchise leagues, he is a key player in SA20 and in IPL. The Indian Premier League is the most competitive league in the world and it is hard for any overseas youngster to make his mark in the league. 

Stubbs too could not make much of an impact in the initial two seasons for Mumbai Indians. However, he pulled up his socks in his third season, and for Delhi Capitals, the right-handed batter scored 378 runs at an average of 54 and a strike-rate of 190.90. So, he made quite an impact for DC, and was retained for 10 Crore ahead of mega auction. Let's now see his three best knocks in IPL.

71* Off 25 Balls Against MI In Mumbai, IPL 2024

Tristan Stubbs' highest score in the IPL came against Mumbai Indians in a high-scoring encounter at the Wankhede during IPL 2024. He made unbeaten 71 in that game off just 25 balls, and the power-hitting he displayed in that game was a one to behold. Mumbai Indians batted first in that game and posted a massive score of 234. DC top order tried hard with Shaw scoring a fifty, but they never looked in chase as the middle order faltered against a high required rate.

Tristan Stubbs though was in a zone of his own, and kept hitting MI bowlers all over the park, right from the time he walked out to the middle at number 4. The South African hit three fours and seven sixes in his innings and scored his runs at a strike-rate of 284. MI still managed to win the game by 29 runs, but Stubbs made sure that everyone on the ground gets awestruck by his clean hitting.

57* Off 25 Balls Against Against LSG In Delhi, IPL 2024

The date was May 14th and Delhi Capitals batted first. Abhishek Porel scored a quality fifty at the top of the order while Shaw and Pant scored decently. However, it was the knock of Stubbs that proved game-changer as he delivered some powerful finishing touces hitting unbeaten 57 off just 25 balls. He hit three fours and 4 sixes in his knock, and DC ended up with a score of 208.

It turned out to be a match-winning score as LSG could only score 189 and Stubbs also grabbed one wicket with the ball.

54* Off 32 Balls Against KKR In Visakhapatnam, IPL 2024

Tristan Stubbs' also played an unbeaten knock of 54 off just 32 balls against Kolkata Knight Riders in Visakhapatman. DC suffered a heavy loss in that game as they were chasing a massive target of 273. DC's top order faltered and it was the duo of Pant and Stubbs that DC fans something to cheer for. 

Stubbs hit 4 fours and 4 sixes in his knock, and though it did not end on a winning note, it set the momentum for the rest of the season.
