During a candid conversation with footballer Sunil Chhetri, Kohli shared insights into their relationship, expressing that their love story didn't require a grand proposal.

 "When you're in love, every day can be as special as Valentine's Day," Kohli said. 


He emphasized the organic nature of their bond, stating, "We always knew we were meant to be together. There was never a doubt."

Interestingly, Kohli admitted that their wedding's secrecy was primarily orchestrated by Anushka, showcasing her masterful planning skills. He acknowledged her pivotal role in ensuring the event remained under wraps, revealing they even employed fake identities and aliases. 

"It was all managed seamlessly by Anushka," Kohli stated, indicating that he wouldn't have been able to execute such discretion on his own.

The couple, now married for seven years, welcomed their first child, daughter Vamika, in January 2021. Recently, close friend and fellow cricketer AB De Villiers confirmed rumours of the couple expecting their second child, leading to Kohli's temporary absence from the cricket field.
