After the saddened news of the passing of former Indian cricketer Salim Durani, the Indian Premier League (IPL) teams Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals, right before their game observed silence.
The players from both teams along with match officials were seen standing in a line to remember one of the prominent Indian cricketers during the 1960s era. Moreover, players were seen wearing black armbands to mourn the loss of the 88-year-old.
The social media handle of the IPL released the video of the entire period of the event that took place at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad.
Durani was suffering from old-age ailments as according to his family, he was not well for the past few years.
He became famous during the 1961-62 era when he picked up eight and ten wickets in the two-match Test series helping India triumph over England by a margin of 2-0.
Coming to the match, Rajasthan batted first and put on a score of 203 on the board after the end of their 20 overs on the back of fifty-plus knocks from skipper Sanju Samson, Jos Buttler and Yashasvi Jaiswal.
