Legendary Indian cricketer and captain of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), MS Dhoni is enjoying the last phase of his career in the Indian Premier League (IPL). The wicket-keeper batter who, in all likelihood, in his final season is all set to bid goodbye to professional cricket.

The 41-year-old who last played against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and walked out victorious by 49 runs said he was very much impressed by the fans turning out in yellow jersey to bid him a farewell which could be his last match at Eden Gardens.

Talking about MS, former CSK and New Zealand player Scott Styris said that he should announce beforehand whenever he decides to say goodbye so that the veteran is given a proper farewell which he deserves because of his contribution to the cricketing world.

“I think he wouldn’t be playing now if he wasn’t in love of being in the dressing room. I hope that whenever he decides to hang up the bat, whether it’s now, or next season or many seasons later, that he announces it, because he deserves a farewell tour around the country,”

“He has been a great servant of Indian cricket and the IPL. This will give everyone a chance to show their appreciation to Dhoni for his contributions not just for Indian cricket but for world cricket as well.”

MS Dhoni's next aim will be to beat Rajasthan Royals when they clash at Sawai Mansingh Stadium on 27th April.
