'We could chase better than this' - Babar Azam after the win against Netherlands

Pakistan registered their opening points this T20 World Cup 2022 by thumping the Netherlands in Perth. The 'Men in Green' chased down the Dutch' total easily after restricting them to just 91-9 from their 20 overs.

Pakistan captain Babar Azam has expressed his delight over his side’s emphatic win over the Netherlands. After the match, he said that his bowlers made good use of the bounce on the surface and everyone executed their plans well. 

However, the veteran cricketer also stated that his batters could have chased better in the match, despite winning the contest with more than six overs to spare. 

Here's what Babar Azam said

"I am very happy. Team did well with the ball and bat. I think the length was crucial. They needed to bowl on a good length because there was bounce on the surface. Everyone executed well."

"In my opinion we could chase better than this. But win always gives you confidence. We are taking the good things forward to the next game."

Pakistan will face South Africa in their next Super 12 game on November 3. The match, marking a must-win one for the side, is slated to be played at the Sydney Cricket Ground.
