In a game filled with excellent performances by Indian batters, it was Virat Kohli's unexpected appearance on the sidelines that became one of the memorable visuals of the third ODI between India and West Indies.

Kohli made waves from the sidelines in third ODI

With Kohli rested in India's series decider against West Indies in Trinidad, fans were surprised and delighted to see the star batsman engaging in lively discussions with teammates from outside the boundary line.

Donning India’s training gear and sporting stylish black shades, Kohli's presence added an extra flair to the match's proceedings. This appearance was especially noteworthy as it came after Kohli had been demoted in the batting order during the first ODI and subsequently rested for the series' remaining games.

While fans missed the dynamic right-hander's presence with the bat, they did catch glimpses of him during the series. Kohli had also carried drinks onto the field during the second ODI.

Moreover, even though the ace batsman didn't get to use his bat in the third ODI, he did make a brief appearance on the field as a substitute fielder, briefly getting involved in the action which delighted the fans present in the stadium.

Meanwhile, the final ODI saw India clinch the series with a thumping victory, posting a massive total of 351/5, with strong performances from the likes of Ishan Gill, Shubman Gill, Sanju Samson, and Hardik Pandya.

In response, the bowling unit led by Shardul Thakur and Mukhesh Kumar along with notable contributions from Kuldeep Yadav and Jaydev Unadkat sealed the win by restricting the West Indies to 151. However, for many fans, Kohli's stylish appearance on the boundary line and his brief role as a substitute fielder turned out to be the highlight of the game.
