The IPL 2024 has been nothing short of a nightmare for Glenn Maxwell and he only got into the side for the game against CSK because Will Jacks left for national duties. However, the Aussie in the limited opportunity he got smashed 16 off just 5 balls before Shardul finally got the better of him.

Maxwell came out to bat on the final delivery of the penultimate over and Maxwell managed to get going with a boundary. In the final over, Maxwell decide to take on Thakur and blasted him for a six and a four to make sure that RCB finish on a high. 

On the fifth delivery though, Shardul bowled a good fullish slower delivery, outside off and Maxwell who tried to launch it out of the ground, got a big top edge. The ball went behind square on the leg side and Dhoni quite calmly got under it to take it comfortably. 

Sakshi Dhoni, the wife of MSD was quite delighted with the wicket as Maxwell had all the potential to go big on the last two deliveries.

RCB managed to score 218 at the end of their 20 overs and put themselves in a great position going into the second half.
