[Watch] Suryakumar Yadav's Picturesque Fielding Prowess Earns Him 'Best Fielder' Award

India's fielding coach, T Dilip, continues to innovate in announcing the 'Best Fielder' award. After India's convincing victory over the Netherlands by 160 runs, Dilip enlisted the help of the Chinnaswamy Stadium groundsmen in Bengaluru for the announcement. 

Displaying the names of contenders Suryakumar Yadav, Ravindra Jadeja, and KL Rahul on the big screen, the groundsmen revealed Yadav as the winner through creatively held placards.


This innovative approach follows Dilip's previous methods, which included using a big screen, spider cam, and even special guests like cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared the unique medal ceremony on Twitter, capturing the moment Yadav was crowned the 'Best Fielder.'

Suryakumar Yadav expressed gratitude to T Dilip for his guidance and growth, posing for pictures with the groundsmen.

Yadav's exceptional fielding performance, marked by brilliant dives to save boundaries, earned him the coveted award. Previously, Rohit Sharma secured the title for his strategic fielding against South Africa. 

Looking ahead, India is set to face New Zealand in the first semi-finals on November 15.
