[Watch] Suryakumar Yadav Takes A Stunning Catch To Send Theekshana Packing

In fact good catching and fielding has become one of the most important facets of the game in this modern day cricket and Suryakumar Yadav with his stunning has proved that again. In a high-pressure environment of India-Sri Lanka game in Asia Cup, SKY as he is fondly known, took a brilliant low catch to break a resistant partnership between Theekshana and Wellalage.

Talking about the ball that got rid of Theekshana, it was a length delivery on middle by Hardik Pandya. Theekshana tried to work it towards the leg side and hit it bit aerially towards the right of the mid on fielder. Suryakumar Yadav, the substitute fielder at mid on moved swiftly to his right, dived forward and pulled off a spectacular low catch.

The wicket brought India just two wickets away from a tense victory and Kuldeep Yadav in his very next over, cleaned up Rajitha and Pathirana on consecutive deliveries to seal a 41-run win for India.
