In the 11th match of the ongoing Major League Cricket 2024 tournament between Washington Freedom and Los Angeles Knight Riders, Steve Smith's breathtaking catch turned the tide of the game. His acrobatic leap in the air to dismiss Nitish Kumar for just 11 runs off 14 balls left everyone in awe.

In the 11th over, Glenn Maxwell bowled an over-the-wicket delivery, a length ball outside off. Nitish Kumar failed to negate the turn and flicked it up to short mid-wicket region. Smith was all set to grab that catch as he timed his dive to perfection and completed a phenomenal blinder of a catch. 

It almost felt as if he was in the air for a few seconds before touching the ground. With this, Maxwell got his second wicket of the day.

Eventually, LAKR tried their best, but they were all down to dust and were able to set a total of 130 for the opposition to chase. In the second innings, Travis Head and Steve Smith's masterclass helped WF win in 16 overs.
