Bangladesh's star all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan could only make six off 12 balls on Tuesday against the USA before a hilarious run out ended his sluggish stay during the first T20I of the three-match series at Prairie View Cricket Complex, Houston.

The incident happened during the 12th over of Bangladesh's innings when Towhid Hridoy pushed Harmeet Singh towards point region, and kept on looking at the ball. He initially called for a run, and Shakib, one of the very best for Bangladesh, responded it by going halfway down the pitch.

Yet, Hridoy kept on looking at the ball before eventually decided not to take a run. At that point, Shakib had no chance to return to the non-striker's end. Steven Taylor made no mistake, keeping his calm while throwing the ball to Harmeet, who dislodged the bail to complete Shakib's wicket.

However, it was a day to remember for the USA, who eventually won the game by five wickets. They restricted Bangladesh to 153/6, and then saw off the target with three balls to spare. Corey Anderson and Harmeet were heroes for the USA, as they recovered their side from 94/5 before eventually hitting the winning runs.
