Shafali Verma is known for her attacking play and she showed all of that in the Women's Asia Cup encounter against Nepal with a breathtaking 81 off 48 balls. She could have scored a century as well, but in a bid to hit another one out of the park, she ended up throwing her wicket.

Her wicket came in the 16th over when Sita Rana Magar tossed up a delivery, outside off. Shafali Verma was in no mood to back away, and danced down the track to slam it out of the park. She missed it completely though and the wicketkeeper Kajal Shrestha whipped off bails in a flash.

It was the second wicket of India's innings after they lost Dayalan Hemalatha after a 122-run opening stand and after the wicket of Shafali, India lost the steam as the middle order failed to capitalise on the bright start. Indian skipper Harmanpreet Kaur is not playing this game and Smriti Mandhana is leading India, however, she did not came out to bat as India decided to try out youngsters, ahead of semifinal.

India are coming into this game with big wins against Pakistan and U.A.E and have played like defending champions with complete dominance over their opponents.
