Indian keeper-batter Sanju Samson, who finally had a chance to showcase his batting prowess against Afghanistan in the 3rd T20I, had a forgettable outing as he registered a golden duck. 

Following a top-order batting collapse, Sanju Samson was thrust into the batting lineup early for Team India. Disappointingly, his innings contributed to the ongoing collapse rather than stabilising it. 

In the fifth over, Farid Malik bowled a short-pitched delivery to Sanju Samson, who couldn't resist the temptation to go for a big hit. Unfortunately, it resulted in a leading edge, and Mohammad Nabi secured a safe catch. 

Notably, it was the first match Sanju Samson played in the series, as Jitesh Sharma was preferred as the wicket-keeper batter over him in the first two matches. However, once more, Sanju Samson missed the opportunity to capitalise on the innings. 

Earlier, Team India won the toss and elected to bat. However, this decision proved costly as the team experienced an embarrassing batting collapse, with the team opener, Yashasvi Jaiswal, dismissed for a mere four runs. 

Virat Kohli recorded a golden duck, and Shivam Dube, the standout performer in the previous two games, also fell after scoring just one run. Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma, the Indian captain, reached a commanding half-century as we compose this article.
