Sanju Samson has been in great form in IPL 2024 and before the game against PBKS, he already smashed three fifties in five games. He was looking good against Punjab too but a shortish delivery from Rabada led to his downfall to bring Punjab Kings back in the game.

It was the second delivery of the 14th over and Kagiso Rabada bowled a shortish delivery on the middle stump line. Sanju Samson tried to pull it but missed it as the ball hit him on the pads. It probably came slow off the wicket and that deceived Sanju, who also first tried to run a single when the ball rolled around the pitch after hitting his pads.

Rabada though was confident and appealed loudly as the umpire raised his finger. Sanju Samson reluctantly took the DRS but the Ball Tracking showed three reds and the original decision was retained.

As the required rate increased, Harshal Patel also got the wicket of Jurel to set stage for another thrilling finish between RR and Punjab Kings.
