Sanju Samson is one of the most popular cricketers in India and whenever he walks to bat there is a sense of excitement around. He came into the England series with three T20I centuries in his last five matches, but has so far failed to live upto his billing against Jos Buttler and company.

In the first game, Samson scored 26 off 20 balls while in the second game, he managed to score just five off seven balls. It was Jofra Archer who got the big wicket of Samson in the third over. It was a short ball on off from the right-arm pacer and Sanju Samson went for a bold pull shot.

India Lose Early Wickets In The Run Chase Of 166

However, he failed to get proper connection and the ball went high in the air towards deep mid-wicket where Brydon Carse grabbed a fine catch. The wicket was surely a disappointment for lot of fans and also for Indian head coach Gautam Gambhir who looked bit shocked in the dug out.

India are chasing a target of 166 in the second T20I after deciding to bowl first during the coin-toss. The home team did not get off to an ideal start in the run-chase unlike the first encounter and dangerous Abhishek Sharma fell for 12. After the dismissal of openers, Tilak Varma and Suryakumar Yadav tried to bring things back in control but the Indian captain was also dismissed at a score of 12, and India were reduced to 58 for 3.
