The Asia Cup 2023 is up and running in full swing and India and Nepal are going head-to-head for the first time in international cricket. Nepal started off with a bang as they were kindly helped by Indian fielders who dropped three catches in the opening five overs. Ravindra Jadeja got into the act soon and first removed Bhim Sharki and then Nepal skipper Rohit Paudel with another lovely delivery. Paudel's wicket fell in the 20th over when Nepal batters were struggling to keep the scoreboard ticking against the spin duo of Jadeja and Kuldeep Yadav.

Talking about the ball that got rid of Rohit Paudel, it was a quick and flatter delivery on off. Touch shorter and Paudel went back to punch it. However, he got a thick outside edge that flew to first slip where Rohit Sharma took a sharp catch to his left.

Jadeja eventually got the wicket of Kushal Malla as well and Nepal were reduced to 101-4 in the 22nd over. At the time of writing, Nepal are 109-4 at the end of 25 overs and needd someone to support Aasif Sheikh who is batting on 47.
