Rohit Sharma's India played like a champion throughout the World Cup 2023 campaign and dominated each and every team. However, on the night of the final, they were beaten by a more clinical Australian unit and that has left Rohit Sharma and almost all Indian fans devastated.

Rohit Sharma, on his part did everything he could do both with the bat and as a leader, smacking 597 runs at a strike rate of over 125. However, it all ended in another heartbreak for India and Rohit Sharma remains trophyless after the 2007 T20 World Cup win which he won as a player under the leadership of MS Dhoni. So, naturally, Rohit Sharma was disappointed and was seen in tears as he walked off the field after a heartbreaking loss.

As seen from the video that has gone viral, Rohit Sharma is seen rubbing his eyes and controlling his tears, as the whole India was left shell-shocked. As far as the proceedings of the match are concerned, India scored 240 while batting first and were pretty short of a competitive total as Australia clinched the game in the 43rd over with six wickets in hand.
