Cricket has seen all sorts of stoppages from heavy rains to dogs and even snakes invading the field to halt the play. 

However, in the latest events, a fox entered the cricket field at The Oval, London and stopped playing. The incident occurred during the Vitality T20 Blast match between Surrey and Hampshire when a brown fox invaded the pitch and started running across the ground.

The play was not halted for long as the fox was quick in finding his way out of the ground. Interestingly, the crowd even cheered for the animal when he found his way out.

Pitch invasion has become quite comman in today's time across sports. However, such invasions also raise eyebrows at the security of a particular venue. 

Talking about the invasion by the fox, the video went viral on the internet as the fans found the clip to be cute. However, as expected, a few even questioned the security in place. 

Even in IPL and several other leagues, dogs have made their way onto the ground. Things went out of hands when once, a snake was spotted in the ground during a Lanka Premier League match in Sri Lanka. 

Talking about the Surrey-Hampshire match, Surrey registered a comfortable five-wicket win.
