In the opening match of the T20I series between India and West Indies at Brain Lara Cricket Academy, fans witnessed a hilarious moment involving Indian spinner Yuzvendra Chahal's confusion in the batting order.

During the 20th over, when Kuldeep Yadav got clean bowled by Romario Shepherd, Team India found themselves needing 10 runs in 5 balls with two wickets in hand. There was a mix-up in the batting order, as Hardik Pandya and Rahul Dravid wanted Mukesh Kumar to bat at No.10, but somehow, Chahal was mistakenly asked to walk out to the middle.

In a comedy of errors, Chahal initially left the field, only to re-enter due to the game's law stating once a batsman steps onto the field after a wicket falls, he cannot be replaced by another player.

Nevertheless, Chahal managed to take a single, keeping Arshdeep on strike, who then scored a double, leaving 7 runs needed off the last 3 balls.

West Indies defeated India in the first T20I in Trinidad by 4 runs. The 2nd T20I will take place on Sunday, 6th August at Providence Stadium in Guyana.
