It is nothing new for the international community to see Bangladeshi cricket players act animatedly on the field. The trend continued on Monday (November 6), when Mushfiqur Rahim produced a hilarious moment in the Tigers' World Cup 2023 game against Sri Lanka at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi.

After Angelo Mathews’ controversial timed out dismissal, Charith Asalanka and Dhananjaya de Silva went berserk against Bangladeshi bowlers. The duo began their partnership when the scoreboard read 135/5, and took them past 200 without any further damage.

Then Mehidy Hasan Miraz came to bowl the 38th over of the innings, and Dhananjaya de Silva tried to attack him while coming down the track. However, the Sri Lankan all-rounder missed it completely, and despite Rahim’s not-so-convensional take, he gave up.

Rahim eventually stumped, but he was not too sure whether the wickets were broken before the stumping was done. Therefore, he removed the stumps from the ground, and lifted them above his head, similar to how they perform the Nagin Dance.

As of writing, Sri Lanka are batting on 251/6 in 44.5 overs, with Asalanka going strong in the middle, on 90*.
