Absolute scenes happened on Sunday (March 31) during CSK’s IPL 2024 clash against DC in Visakhapatnam when MS Dhoni walked down the middle for the first time in the ongoing edition. And the way the 42-year-old batted left everyone in absolute awe, despite the fact that CSK lost the game by 20 runs.

CSK had too much to do when Dhoni was at the crease. Yet, crowds went berserk to see their hero arriving in the middle. And he showed that the Thala has still got it, as the manner in which he smashed Khaleel Ahmed over extra cover for six was so hard to believe that it actually happened.

Dhoni remained not out on 37 off 16 balls, laced with four fours and three sixes. The way he was batting for CSK in the middle was nothing but sheer class, and it reflected the way he had been training hard to be one of the most important batters of the unit even at this age.

Notably, Dhoni finished his innings with a six, and no wonder, the shot reminded everyone of 2011 World Cup final, in which he smashed the winning blow to take India to glory.
