Ace Australian speedster Mitchell Starc had a forgettable start with the ball in the ongoing game against Afghanistan, as he was mostly wayward in his line and length. However, after blowing hot and cold, the veteran pacer bounced back in style, dismissing Afghan skipper Hashmatullah Shahidi with a searing yorker.

The incident occurred in the 38th over of Afghanistan's innings when Australian captain Pat Cummins brought Starc back into the attack. The move instantly paid off, as the left-arm seamer put an end to Shahidi's stay with a brilliant yorker.

After starting the over with a dot ball, Starc fired a well-directed yorker at Shahidi's stumps. The batter adopted an aggressive approach, as he tried to tackle it by dancing down the track.

However, unfortunately for Afghanistan, the gritty southpaw was beaten all ends up, with the ball shattering his stumps. Following the dismissal, Starc celebrated calmly, giving a death stare to the batter. Before getting out, Shahidi could contribute 26 runs, taking 43 balls to score them.

After Shahidi's departure, Azmatullah Omarzai joined the middle to steady the Afghan ship alongside opener Ibrahim Zadran. As of writing, Afghanistan are 209 for three in 42 overs, with Omarzai and Ibrahim batting on 22* and 96*, respectively.
