Ace South African speedster Kagiso Rabada became livid as he accused Joe Root of deliberately wasting time in the ongoing Champions Trophy encounter against England National Stadium in Karachi. The dramatic incident grabbed the limelight amid impactful performances from the South African bowlers in the match. 

Joe Root's Frequent Pull-Outs Annoy Kagiso Rabada

England's talismanic batter Joe Root frequently lost concentration while batting in the Champions Trophy clash against South Africa. The stylish right-hander had some issues with the sight-screen, as he pulled out of his stance multiple times. 

As the English star did it twice on consecutive occasions off Kagiso Rabada's bowling, the Proteas pacer was annoyed and visibly frustrated. The incident occurred in the fourteenth over of England's innings when Root was trying to steady the ship with Harry Brook. 

Rabada complained to the umpire of Root's actions, explaining how he was wasting time with an animated reaction. 


England Lose 5 Wickets As SA Claim Driving Seat

After winning the toss and opting to bat, England had the worst possible start to their innings losing Phil Salt and Jamie Smith with quick succession. Ben Duckett and Joe Root struck valuable cameos, but failed to convert their starts into significant scores. 

As a result, South Africa claimed the driving seat by securing five scalps inside 18 overs. As of writing, the Englishmen were reeling at 106 for five, with Buttler and Liam Livingstone batting on 3* and 4*, respectively.
