Indian wicket-keeper KL Rahul committed a blunder behind the stumps, denying India of the valuable wicket of the well-set Aiden Markram. Rahul, who has taken some extraordinary catches in the series, dropped a sitter, giving Markram a lifeline on Cape Town's challenging deck. 

Amid South Africa's turmoil in the second innings, Markram stood his ground firmly at one end, guiding the hosts towards a respectable total. In this process, the stylish batter completed his half-century in just 68 balls. While South Africa kept losing wickets at one end, Markram emerged as their saviour with the bat in this low-scoring thriller. 

However, ace Indian speedster Jasprit Bumrah induced an edge off Markram's bat only to see the batter survive, thanks to a sloppy attempt from Rahul behind the stumps. 

It was a back-of-the-length delivery, which moved away from the batter, leading to an edge off his bat. But, unfortunately for India, Rahul dropped a sitter, failing to hold on to a simple chance behind the stumps. 

Rahul's keeping blunder made Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah furious, as disappointment was clearly visible on their faces. 

The dropped chance could prove very costly for India, as Markram has completed his century, batting on 102* off only 99 deliveries as of writing.
