Jitesh Sharma's struggles continued in the 58th match of the IPL 2024 in Dharamsala against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB).

Having endured a miserable season so far, Jitesh Sharma once again failed to contribute significantly as he departed after scoring just 5 runs.

With RCB setting a mammoth target of 242 for the Punjab Kings (PBKS) to chase, the PBKS batting order crumbled. After Jonny Bairstow and later Rilee Rossouw fell, it was Jitesh Sharma's turn as he came to the crease at the 4th spot.

The crucial moment arrived in the 11th over of the match when Karn Sharma struck, claiming Jitesh Sharma as his victim.

It was a magical delivery by the RCB spinner. He bowled it slower, above Jitesh's eye line, and got some drift in as it pitched on the leg stump line before turning away slightly.

Jitesh went down on one knee, attempting a slog sweep, but missed it completely, watching in dismay as the ball crashed onto his stumps.
