In a crucial ICC World Cup 2023 match at the iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, the clash between South Africa and Bangladesh saw a comeplete turn-over moment when Litton Das, the Bangladeshi wicketkeeper-batter, had to make his way back to the pavilion. This dismissal marked a significant turning point in the game.

The wicket came at the hands of the talented South African fast bowler Kagiso Rabada, whose delivery clocked an impressive 142.4 kmph. Rabada's impeccable bowling technique was on full display as he delivered a beautifully executed wobble seam that came back into Das. The delivery, a good-length ball aimed at the middle and leg, posed a challenging question to the Bangladeshi batsman."

In an attempt to flick the ball across the line, Litton Das found himself in an unfortunate situation. He missed the delivery entirely, and the ball struck him on the front pad. This prompted a resounding appeal from the South African fielders, and the on-field umpire, Joel Wilson, didn't waste any time in raising his finger to signal the dismissal.

Litton Das, however, decided to challenge the umpire's decision by opting for a review in a last-ditch attempt to overturn the verdict. The technology was brought into play, and the Ultra-edge confirmed that there was no contact between the ball and the bat. Subsequently, the ball-tracking system displayed three reds, indicating that the ball was indeed on course to hit the stumps.

As a result, Litton Das had to trudge back to the pavilion, his valiant effort coming to a disappointing end.
