Even when Jasprit Bumrah is having a bad day, you can never rule him out. The talismanic fast bowler on Sunday proved it yet again in India’s third and final ODI against Australia, taking place at Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Rajkot.

It was a scorching 142.3 kph delivery by Bumrah, that knocked over Glenn Maxwell. Bringing his long-term injury to an end, the Australian all-rounder returned to international cricket but was unable to handle it.

Maxwell, who was batting on five off seven balls, could only see the yorker break the off-stump after getting it under his bat.

Bumrah conceded as many as 62 runs off his seven overs on Wednesday. Hence, it was a rare ordinary outing for him until his unique skills came into play and got rid of the dangerous Maxwell.

Bumrah had a smile on his face as soon as the ball broke the stumps. It was his second wicket of the day for him, having got Alex Carey earlier in the innings.

At the time of writing, Australia have reached 299/6 in 42.3 overs, with Marnus Labuschagne batting on 42* off 37 balls. For India, Washington Sundar was the most impressive, having conceded 48 runs off his 10 overs, albeit without any wicket.
