Jadeja's effort to catch Riyan Parag (X.com)
Ravindra Jadeja is one of the finest fielders in world cricket and it is quite rare to see him drop a catch. Infact, he tends to make things happen on the field when it seems impossible for most others, and the all-rounder tried to do exactly that when Riyan Parag played a powerful pull shot to deep mid-wicket.
It was the third delivery of the 17th over and Simarjeet bowled it short on off. Riyan Parag picked the length quickly and played a pull shot but uppishly. It was hit to the right of Ravindra Jadeja at deep mid-wicket and the CSK star sprinted and dived full-length, but just failed to get his hand to the ball as it went over the fence off the bounce.

If Jadeja would have taken the catch, it would have been a big blow to Rajasthan Royals as Parag was set at that time and a new batter would have found it difficult to score runs on a tough pitch at Chepauk. The RR number 4 went onto bat till the end and took his side to a competitive total of 141 with his matured knock.
