Imam-ul-Haq was in brilliant touch against Australia, an opposition against whom he likes to score, during Pakistan's crucial World Cup fixture in Bengaluru. Nevertheless, Mitchell Starc's brilliant low catch down the boundary line ended his stay, as the Pakistani opener was left stunned after not being able to reach three figures.

During the 24th over of Pakistan’s innings, Marcus Stoinis bowled a short delivery outside the off stump. Imam saw the opportunity to smack it over the backward point, but the timing was not there as he would have liked.

Placed at deep third man, Starc covered a few meters of ground before lunging forward to complete an excellent diving catch.

Imam was shocked for a while to see what just happened before he slowly started to walk back towards the pavilion after a fighting 71-ball 70, laced with 10 fours.

Chasing 368, Pakistan got off to an excellent start, with Abdullah Shafique and Imam-ul-Haq setting the tone. However, Stoinis got both the wickets in quick succession, leaving the Men in Green in danger yet again.

At the time of writing, Pakistan are 196/3 after 29.3 overs, with Mohammad Rizwan holding the key to pull off a miracle.
