The Oval Invincibles are up against the Northern Superchargers in the 12th match of The Hundred 2024. The Invincibles have been tasked with chasing down 146 runs in their 100 balls at the Kennington Oval in London.

The Superchargers were put to bat in this game after the Invincibles won the toss. Despite a weak start, the Superchargers were able to post 145 runs on the board at the end of their 20 sets, courtesy of Nicholas Pooran. The West Indian keeper-batter picked up from where he left in the last game and scored his second consecutive half-century in the tournament. Pooran played a blistering knock of 65* from 41 deliveries and helped his team to a total that can challenge the opposition.

The Oval Invincibles did not start in the ideal way. They lost Will Jacks in the fourth set, who was soon followed by Jordan Cox. It was Adil Rashid who dismissed Cox in the seventh set. On the last delivery of the set, Rashid tossed up the ball outside the off stump. Cox climbed on the ball and fetched it from the line to loft it over long-on. Although, he did not get it from the middle of the bat it looked like the ball will sail over the ropes. But Adam Hose in the deep caught the ball and displayed great juggling skills to keep it within the field of play and end Cox's stay in the middle.

This effort gave flashes from the T20 World Cup 2024 final. In that game, Suryakumar Yadav showed similar juggling skills to take David Miller's catch in the last over, that resulted in India ending their ICC trophy drought of 11 years.
