Lockie Ferguson is one of the fastest bowlers in the world but somehow has not been able to deliver consistently in IPL. However, in the 58th match of IPL 2024, he finally delivered close to his billing and picked two wickets on a flat deck at Dharamsala. He first got the big wicket of Bairstow, and then took the wicket of Sam Curran as well to shut down PBKS hopes in style.

Sam Curran's wicket came on the third delivery of the 16th over as Ferguson bowled a fullish knuckle delivery on the off-stump line. Sam Curran went for a big slog but missed it completely and knocked over Curran's off-stump to leave PBKS skipper frustrated.

Punjab Kings were eventually bundled out for 181 and RCB registered a thumping 60-run win. Earlier, RCB scored 241 while batting first with Virat Kohli leading the charge with 92 off just 47 balls. Rajat Patidar and Green also played brilliant knocks and RCB have suddenly found their mojo with four wins on a trot after losing seven from their first eight.

Punjab Kings, on the other hand, have been eliminated from the playoffs race and have become the second team to get knocked out after Mumbai Indians.
