Veteran Pakistan opener Fakhar Zaman had a dream outing in the World Cup clash against Bangladesh, as he completed a belligerent fifty during the second half of the game.

Chasing a modest 205-run target, Pakistan had a magnificent start to their innings, as Abdullah Shafique and Fakhar Zaman formed a sensational century stand for the first wicket. In this process, the swashbuckling southpaw brought up his fifty with a glorious six of ace speedster Taskin Ahmed.

The incident occurred in the 17th over when Zaman and Shafique had already formed a mammoth opening stand in the high-voltage encounter.

After keeping it tight initially, the experienced bowler delivered a full length delivery, inviting Zaman for an attacking shot. The batter obliged, as he came down the track and smacked it straight over the bowler's head for a monstrous six to complete a well-deserved half century.

Fakhar, who has replaced Imam-ul-Haq in Pakistan's playing XI for this match, missed the initial games owing to a knee injury. Meanwhile, his opening partner Abdullah Shafique has also brought up his fifty in this match.

As of writing, Pakistan are cruising towards the target, placed at 128 for no loss in 21 overs.
