[Watch] 'Failure' For David Warner As Scotland Jolt Australia With Early Wicket

David Warner's fine run of form was put on hold as he failed to deliver the goods against Scotland in the T20 World Cup group stage match.

Chasing a tricky 181 against a confident Scotland bowling unit, Warner perished for just 1 as Brad Wheal weaved his magic and dismissed the dangerous Aussie opener for a low-score.

Warner departs cheaply

Scotland, who still have a chance to reach the Super 8 stage, needed an early inroad, and Wheal provided just that as Warner had no answer for his guile. The Scottish pacer bowled a length ball outside the off as Warner tried to hit it on the leg side and got a top-edge on it.

The ball went miles in the air, but Richie Berrington's safe pair of hands took a simple catch at backward point to sent back the opening batter. One brought the downfall of another as Mitchell Marsh, too, departed cheaply, and it was followed by the big wicket of Glenn Maxwell as Scotland got wickets at crucial junctures.

Australia have already secured their place in the Super 8. If Scotland win this contest, then they'll join Australia, which'll mean, England gets eliminated in the group stage.
