David Warner is a legend and there is no doubting that. The man just keeps churning runs for fun and is once again showing his class in World Cup 2023. He slammed two consecutive centuries coming into the game against the Kiwis and looked set for another big one, before Glenn Phillips got the better of him. Warner though scored 81 off 65 balls which included six maximums and five fours. The wicket though has provided a big relief to the Kiwis, who were looking down and out with Travis Head going great guns along with Warner.

David Warner and Travis Head put together a 175-run opening stand in just 115 balls, marking Aussie dominance with swag and flair. However, in the 20th over, Glenn Phillips with his tossed up delivery, outfoxed Warner as Phillips completed a sharp caught and bowled.

It was a loopy delivery angling into off from 'round the wicket. Warner tried to drive it over the bowler's head but failed to get it over Phillips and ended up hitting it straight to the bowler who did not make any mistake. Mitchell Marsh replaced David Warner at the crease and the Kiwis need to bowl with great discipline from hereon to restrict Aussies to a chaseable total.
