David Warner has been one of the finest openers in the last decade or so and his consistency has always kept him a notch ahead of others. In the World Cup 2023 as well, he is showing all his might by providing consistent good starts for Australia and continued the same against the Proteas in the semis. However, just when he was looking to explode, Aiden Markram with his clever off-break cleaned up David Warner to bring some respite back in the African camp.

South Africa posted 212 on the board and in reply, Australia got off to a fast start with Warner and Head smashing it all over the park. They got to 60 in just 6 overs but an inspired change by Temba Bavuma to bring Aiden Markram into the attack, changed South Africa's fortunes.

It was a. slightly shortish delivery that pitched on the middle and turned away nicely. Warner went back and tried to work it away towards the leg side but ended up missing it completely as his off stump was left uprooted.

The wicket of Warner was soon followed by the wicket of Marsh and Australia from 60-0 were reduced to 61-2, bringing South Africa right back in the game.
