New Zealand and Islamabad United opening batter Colin Munro showcased his wonderful spirits and great nature when he hugged a ball-boy who pulled off a terrific catch on a ball that had gone for six during the PSL 2024 encounter against the Peshawar Zalmi.

Notably, it was the same ball boy who had earlier dropped a catch on an equally exciting catching attempt when he dived brilliantly and almost secured the grab but the ball slipped out of his hands at the last moment. At that point, United's extravagant opener gave him a tap on the shoulder and a warm hug.

The initial incident was from the fag end of the seventh over in the Zalmi run-chase when their allrounder Faheem Ashraf dispatched pacer Aamer Jamal for a six towards the deep square leg region. The kid dived and skid along the turf but couldn't hold onto the ball.

However, the kid soon made amends right in front of Munro when another six hit by Arif Yaqoob off the bowling of Rumman Raees went to the square leg region but this time the ball-boy made no mistake.

Having seen the disappointment on the face of the kid earlier on, Munro stood jubilant on this occasion seeing him complete the catch and was seen jumping in celebrations with him while United skipper Shadab Khan also wore a wry smile.

Munro won the hearts of the fans with his gesture, where he kept his fielding duties in a high-intense clash aside for a bit and treated the kid with affection and respect for the brave heart he showed in going for the catch again.

The moment was captured in a nice clip by the Pakistan Super League's official Twitter handle and has since gone viral on their social media feed.
