The ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025 has been a nightmare for the Peshawar Zalmi captain, Babar Azam as he continues to produce flop show for his side. Prior to the clash Vs Karachi Kings, Babar had just 3 runs in 3 innings, and even in the ongoing match, his slow knock didn't help the team's cause.
Babar fails yet again in PSL
On a tricky wicket at the National Stadium Karachi, Babar started slowly and looked rusty as he struggled for runs. At one stage, he was 23 off 28, and the opposition bowlers had him on the tight ropes, but somehow he reached 46 when Khushdil Shah bowled a magic ball to dismiss him.
The left-arm spinner bowled an off-break which pitched on the middle and leg and turned square to beat Babar and cop a blow on the back leg. After the wicket, Khushdil had a wild celebration, as he seemingly mocked the batter.
Peshawar Zalmi's struggles continues
The Zalmi started off the tournament with two back-to-back losses and won their last match Vs Multan Sultans.
However, in the ongoing match, things turned worse as Peshawar lost wickets at regular intervals and Babar's slow knock didn't help their cause either as he struck at only 112.19. None of the batters got going as the on a slightly difficult pitch, the team managed to score 147/8 with Babar being the top-scorer, but the strike-rate once again came under scrutiny.
