Even after Chennai Super Kings (CSK) emerged victorious in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, the playful banter between MS Dhoni and fast-bowler Deepak Chahar continued. The men in yellow defeated the reigning champions, Gujarat Titans, in a rain-affected match by five wickets, equaling Mumbai Indians' record for the most IPL titles. 

After Ravindra Jadeja hit a six and a boundary off Mohit Sharma, securing a memorable win for the team, CSK members celebrated on the field. Fans approached Captain Dhoni for autographs, and he happily obliged each time. 

However, when Chahar came to him for a signature, the legendary wicketkeeper-batsman jokingly denied his request, adding to their lighthearted exchange.

A video went viral on social media, showing MS Dhoni playfully avoiding Deepak's request for an autograph. Despite several rejections, the CSK captain eventually relents and signs Chahar's shirt. 

This comical incident was not the first time Dhoni had teased Chahar on the field. It is possible that Dhoni was expressing his dissatisfaction with his performance in the first innings, where he conceded too many runs and also dropped an early catch in the match.

Deepak Chahar, who typically bowls with the new ball, had a tough time in the match as he conceded 31 runs without taking a wicket in his initial three overs. Adding to his challenges, he also made fielding errors by dropping a couple of catches during the power play. 

However, MS Dhoni stepped up and made a crucial contribution by stumping Shubman Gill. Otherwise, Gill and Wriddhiman Saha were building a strong partnership that could have potentially put the visitors in a commanding position in the match.
