David Warner might go unsold in IPL 2025 mega auction, but he is not finished yet. The 38-year-old proved that above-mentioned statement yet again on Saturday when Sydney Thunder were up against Sydney Sixers at Sydney Showground Stadium in the Big Bash League (BBL).

David Warner Flexes His Superb Athleticism In BBL

The incident happened during the 12th over of Syndey Sixers' innings when Warner, placed at cover, ran like Usain Bolt at the age of 38 to inflict a run-out from nowhere. Jack Edwards, who was running at the striker's end, had no clue whatsoever about the throw before the stumps were broken. The replay showed Edwards was well short of the crease when the ball rattled the stumps.

At the time of writing this, Sydney Sixers need 30 off the last 17 balls against Sydney Thunder, who posted 163/5 batting first. Warner began brightly with the bat, but did not last long to keep on the carnage going. Meanwhile, Akeal Hosein was the pick of the bowler for the Sixers, returning 2/23 off his four overs.

If the Sixers win the Derby, the focus will be on Jordan Silk to make that happen. Silk is currently batting on 30* off 20 balls alongside Lachlan Shaw, who made 8* off 6 balls. They began the competition with a five-wicket win over Melbourne Renegades, and will try to keep their 100% winning record intact.
