India is traditionally not known to produce extreme pace bowlers, so whenever a genuine pacer burts on the crease there is lot of hype around him. Umran Malik made headlines for his pace few seasons ago and now in IPL 2024, a new sensation, Mayank Yadav has arrived who has delivered a bullet of 155.8 Kph in the LSG-PBKS Clash at the Ekana Stadium.

It is the fastest ball of the IPL 2024 and the new LSG skipper has impressed one and all with his consistent thunderbolts at over 150 Kph. Mayank Yadav bowled his first ball of IPL at 147.1 kph and went onto hit 150 kph mark in his very first over.

The fastest ball though came on the first delivery of the second over against Shikhar Dhawan. It was a good-length delivery, angling across the left-hander and Dhawan made room to hit it towards the off side. However, the pace was too much and before Dhawan could get his bat towards the ball, the ball zipped across his bat.

Mayank Yadav did not stop there though, and went onto take three wickets in his four overs to derail Punjab Kings charge who were at one time cruising to the target of 200 set by LSG.
