Virat Kohli, known as one of the fittest players in the world, usually has a reputation for flawless fielding. However, during the IPL 2025 match between Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) on April 13, he found himself in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons. Kohli dropped an easy catch that left fans and teammates disappointed.

It happened on the last ball of the 17th over during Rajasthan Royals’ innings. Dhruv Jurel, who was batting, got a second chance after Kohli missed the catch. The ball was tossed up by spinner Suyash Sharma, full and around the off-stump.

Jurel tried to hit it across the line but ended up sending the ball to long-off, right where Kohli was waiting. Kohli seemed a little too casual as he moved forward and ended up dropping the simple catch.

After the missed opportunity, Jurel took full advantage of his second chance, hitting boundaries and sixes against the RCB bowlers. Fans quickly took to social media to express their frustration with Kohli’s careless mistake.
