In a major update, England's express pacer Mark Wood will miss the game against Rajasthan Royals (RR) for his side Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) to be played at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.

Decision to drop Wood for this game could particularly have been taken considering his workload as he prepares himself for the marquee Ashes series.

This was announced by the LSG skipper KL Rahul at the toss where he further mentioned that Quinton de Kock will be missing this game as well after sitting on the sidelines due to Kyle Mayers being preferred after his stupendous form.

In Wood's place, Afghanistan's pacer Naveen-ul-Haq has been drafted in and is all set to make his debut in the IPL. Naveen has been the T20 specialist for a while as he has performed in various conditions around the world.

Talking about Royals, Jason Holder returns to the setup replacing Adam Zampa as they expect the all-rounder to play a vital role in both departments.

It was Rajasthan Royals who won the toss and they opted to bowl first due to the fact that they have been chasing brilliantly.
