In a fascinating and remarkable feat, India's Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal became the first opening pair from their country to take the first-innings lead in a Test match.

Interestingly, in what was their first Test together, the partnership of Rohit and Yashasvi crossed West Indies's first-innings total of 150 runs at Windsor Park in Dominica.

Notably, no other Indian opening pair has achieved this in the past, making their record partnership all the more special.

Also, it happens to be the highest opening partnership for India against West Indies in Test cricket. The duo beat the record of Wasim Jaffer and Virender Sehwag, who had formed an opening stand of 159 runs at Saint Lucia in 2006.

India have already taken a lead of 120 runs, with only two days into the Test with the score reading 270/2 currently. The Indian captain departed for a well-compiled 103, while Yashasvi, in his debut Test, has slammed a hundred.
