CSK vs PBKS toss (X.com)
Sam Curran, the stand-in Punjab Kings skipper, won the toss against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) ahead of Match 49 of IPL 2024 in Chepauk, and decided to bowl first. There was a possibility of the return of Shikhar Dhawan, however, the time has not come yet.
On the other hand, CSK won't have the services of Matheesha Pathirana and Tushar Deshpande, who have injury concerns just before facing the Punjab-based franchise.
In their absence, CSK have brought in debutant Richard Gleeson, while Mukesh Choudhary is expected to come in as an impact substitute if there is no collapse during CSK’s innings.
