The caravan of the 2023 edition of the Maharashtra Premier League (MPL) will continue on Wednesday night when Kolhapur Tuskers square off against the Puneri Bappa in Qualifier 02 for the rights to compete in the summit clash on Sunday against Ratnagiri Jets.
The Kolhapur Tuskers will come into this game on the back of a heartbreaking 4-run defeat to Ratnagiri Jets in Qualifier 01, and this fixture will be their final opportunity to book their ticket in the final.
Once again, the onus of their batting-unit will be on the experienced shoulders of Kedar Jadhav and the in-form Anklt Bawne.
As far as the bowling department is concerned, the likes of Atman Pore and Manoj Yadav will once again hold the key.
Their opposition, the Puneri Bappa, on the other hand, will come into this game on the back of a brilliant 3-wicket win over ENT in the Eliminator on Tuesday night.
The victory was set-up by the trio of Sachin Bhosale (2/17 in 3 overs), Salman Jamale (2/19 in 4) and Rohan Damle (2/23 in 3), which restricted ENT to 131/8 in 18 overs.
Then, with the bat, handy contributions from Pavan Shah (25 off 20) and Impact sub Advay Shidhaye (27* off 13) helped them chase down the target in the final over.
