In a significant development, experienced New Zealand speedster Lockie Ferguson is all set to make his debut for Royal Challengers Bengaluru in their seventh group-stage match of the ongoing Indian Premier League season. 

As per emerging visuals, the express pacer has been handed his debut RCB cap and is expected to play a key role for the side. 

Notably, Ferguson, hailed for his death-bowling exploits, was purchased by RCB for his base price of INR 2 Crores in the mini auction last year. 

He recently had a great time with the ball during the BlackCaps’ home T20I series against Australia. 

He replaces prominent Indian seamer Mohammed Siraj, who has been off colour with the ball in the tournament. RCB have made another massive change, excluding Glenn Maxwell from their playing XI for this game. 

Regarded highly for his death-bowling expertise, Ferguson has been a vital member of the Kiwi white-ball setup, scalping 54 wickets in 38 T20I appearances. 

He has represented formidable teams like Kolkata Knight Riders and Gujarat Titans in the past, picking 37 wickets in 38 outings. 

Talking about the match, RCB have won the toss and opted to bowl in this high-octane clash against SRH. Having lost five matches, they must be desperate for a win to turn things around.
